Growth

Spring is changing things so fast just now, that a photo from last week is no longer relevant. Daffodils are long past, tulips will be before too long, and now lilacs are beginning. My favorite.

I am slowly getting the garden in. This year we put in some strawberries to see if we can be successful at growing them. .. if so hopefully more will follow.

We are wrapping up the home school year, putting portfolios together, doing last lessons until fall ones begin, thinking about what to study next year, and moving our oldest son back home for summer. A whole college year is behind him with so much growth, fun, and joy too.

W has a knack for four-leafed clovers. She finds them just about anywhere.

I feel like in middle age, I am a chrysalis preparing to open up to my true adult self more than any other time yet in my life. Is this how big transitions will always be? This year has been a doozy. . .hard things, good things, and major change- and I am someone who does not embrace life's shifts right away. I am proud of myself for the way I have leaned into things this year.

Love, Melanie
