Hmm, I wonder if Miles is happy that we have the windows open today?
Spring has been a chillier one for us so far, and so when we reached the mid-50s this week, we were all quite happy. Threw some windows open to let the (probably still too chilly) fresh air blow through the house. . . and at that time also realized we need to put in pet-save window screens! Our other cats just didn't bother the screens at all. . . but these two orange rascals try to climb them. They are indoor cats only, and we are considering leash training them- however they are extremely skittish and run away at top speed when someone so much as sneezes or a truck rumbles past, and hide under the bed when the cello is practiced- so I'm not sure how taking them out would even go. . .
Orange-y linen pants I made, trying out a pattern using fabric I had. Pants are "chanterelle pants" by sew liberated, and I LOVE them! The pattern was simple, and the little cuff on the bottom is such a good touch. I found a paper version of the pattern on Etsy which was great- I avoid pdf sewing patterns as much as possible!
Ez and I are working on paper mache rabbits- we are both brand new to this-we'd love to get good at it, and have perused the most fantastic projects on pinterest- so much beautiful paper mache art!
Just about the loveliest shade of blue~ yarn from green mountain spinnery.
I'm moving through the world in somewhat of a daze, of late. Just so much to process, just so much going on. Trying to be present and to take care.
Love, Melanie
It is a beautiful blue color 💙 lovely to see some Spring activities! Sending you a hug, I think we are all trying to navigate these difficult times. I have not opened the news at all this Easter, not a single time since Friday 11th. Not having social media either now makes me totally unplugged when I choose to be unplugged. What a joy it has been. I might limit my news watching to once a week from now on. It is lovely to see you post here again.
